The regular season of the 2016-2017 NBA season is coming to a close in less than two weeks, 13 days, to be exact. Before the playoffs begin and each team begins to steamroll the talent they’ve been building for the duration into the season, into winning the all-glorious NBA Title, very certain players will be awarded with various individual acknowledgements for their hard work for the year. These awards include Most Valuable Player (MVP), Most Improved Player (MIP), the Jamal Crawford Award (Sixth Man of the Year), and Defensive Player of the Year (DOPY). For the end of the regular season, I’ll be acknowledging who I feel deserves these awards, as well as a few other various awards, such as Coach of the Year, Most Surprising Team, Biggest Tanking Team of the Year, and the Teams Who Should’ve Tanked. These will be taking place over the duration of the next two weeks, bringing us up until the end of the regular season and the official awards handed out by the league. So keep an eye out for those!
Also, when the playoffs begin, I plan to give a decent amount of game reviews. These will mainly consist of close games, series comebacks, huge individual performances and series that reach Game 7. So watch out for those two!
